A popular WWE Superstar made a surprising revelation about his early training days in the Stamford-based promotion's Performance Center. The star was a college basketball player before signing with the Stamford-based promotion.

The name in question is former RAW Tag Team Champion Omos. He began training in the Performance Center in 2019 and made his television debut the following year on Monday Night RAW.

While speaking on a recent edition of the Muscle Memory podcast, the 33-year-old noted that Chris Hero was his first coach at the Performance Center. He added that they tried many things, as the coach found Omos very athletic. However, as The Nigerian Giant got hurt several times, WWE made an executive decision to pull back on his work and restructure how he wrestled.

"My first couple of months at the Performance Center, I had the privilege of having my first coach at the Performance Center was Chris Hero, some of you might know him as Kassius Ohno, and he just saw how athletic I was, and we just did everything. I did get hurt quite a bit during my first couple of months, then I think an executive decision was made to kind of pull it back a little and restructure how I was working, because yes, I could do things very fast, but the payoff on the end of me getting hurt wasn't really worth it, so there was a lot of pullback done," said Omos. Although he is still signed with the global juggernaut, Omos has yet to wrestle a televised match inside the WWE ring since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal 2024. However, he has competed in other promotions allied with World Wrestling Entertainment instead.

Omos names former WWE Champion as dream WrestleMania opponent

Omos' last WrestleMania appearance was in 2023. He lost to Brock Lesnar on Night Two.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Omos stated that he was looking forward to being on the WrestleMania 42 match card. The Nigerian Giant further disclosed Brock Lesnar as his dream opponent at The Showcase of the Immortals.

"I'm looking forward to being on the card this year. My dream opponent? Since it's going bigger in Vegas I'm going to put it out there. Brock Lesnar, we need to run it back," Omos said.

While Brock Lesnar has been making sporadic appearances, it will be interesting to see when WWE decides to bring back Omos on the main roster.
