"Dodging the Packers is crazy," a fan wrote. "They lyin, they just didn't want him to get cooked by his former team," another fan wrote. Here are more fan reactions.
"Translation: we didn't want him getting booed in GB. He's already in his head, we didn't want to add to it," one fan said. "Acting like he's gonna be healthy for longer than a game or two anyway lol," a fan commented. "Translation- Jaire doesn't want to get embarrassed back in GB," another fan said.Alexander arrived in Philadelphia on Nov. 1 via a trade with the Baltimore Ravens. The Eagles sent a 2026 sixth-round pick and received a 2027 seventh-rounder. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that Alexander will not travel with the team to Green Bay.
Alexander’s time in Baltimore was brief. He signed with the Ravens after he was released by the Packers in June. Alexander appeared in only two games and logged limited snaps before falling out of the rotation. Injuries and inconsistency have followed him since his final year in Green Bay, where he was once considered as one of the league’s top corners.
The decision could have financial consequences for Alexander. His deal includes $2 million in potential playing-time incentives, awarded in $500,000 increments tied to defensive snap percentages. With only 61 snaps logged this season, missing another game would make those benchmarks harder to reach.
Jaire Alexander said he was ready just days before the ruling

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman addressed the trade on Tuesday, calling the move "a calculated gamble." He pointed to Alexander’s past relationship with Philadelphia defensive backs coach Christian Parker, who worked with him in Green Bay.
Alexander has posted 290 tackles, 12 interceptions and 70 pass breakups in his career, along with three forced fumbles and a touchdown.
