Former NBA Player Delonte West was arrested in Virginia after he was found unconscious in public. According to TMZ, the former Cleveland Cavaliers player was arrested on November 3 by the Fairfax County Police.
According to the reports obtained by TMZ, the police department received a call for help regarding a man who was unconscious and not breathing. When the police arrived with emergency services, West was still unconscious, but he was breathing.
Officers offered to help West and wanted to take him to the hospital for further medical assistance. However, he refused the help, following which, the police arrested Delote West for his own safety. While the charges are not known, the ex-Cavs star was released on an unspecified bond.

In 2008, West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Since then, he has found himself in constant battle with law enforcement. Moreover, he has been seen intoxicated in public on multiple occasions and even panhandling.

Before Delonte West struggled with drugs, he played 8 seasons in the league and was even teammates with LeBron James on the Cavaliers team. The 24th pick in the 2004 NBA draft averaged 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

Delonte West and the law have had a series of run-ins against each other. Since he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008, he has constantly found himself getting in trouble.
While he played for the Cavaliers in 2009, West was stopped by the police for traffic violations. After his vehicle was searched, the police found multiple firearms. A few years later, in 2016, West was caught walking barefoot at Temple Hills in Maryland.
In 2020, the former Boston Celtics player was seen begging in Dallas. The Dallas Mavericks' majority owner, Mark Cuban, stepped up and helped Delonte West get admitted into a drug rehabilitation center, but West escaped.
Two years later, West was arrested by police in Virginia. He was caught trying to get into a stranger's car. West was later released on terms. In June last year, West was again arrested for violating the terms of his release.
Just a year ago, he was arrested under trespassing charges. The mugshots released by the police had the fans concerned for the former NBA player.
