Nikki Spoelstra's reply to a fan in the comment section of her Instagram post (Credits: IG/@nikkisappspo)Antetokounmpo has been the subject of several trade rumors since the offseason. Speculation was ignited recently amid a dismal start by Milwaukee. Entering Friday, the Bucks are No. 11 in the Eastern Conference with a 14-20 record.
With trade rumors swirling, several pundits have regarded the Heat as among the favorites to land Antetokounmpo if the Bucks star asks for a trade. Miami could offer an attractive package headlined by one-time All-Star Tyler Herro and promising young big man Kel'el Ware. The Heat could sweeten the deal by adding future first-round draft picks.
The Heat make stance clear on including Bam Adebayo in trade talks
NBA insider Zach Lowe said that while the Miami Heat will be active in trade discussions leading up to the Feb. 5 deadline, they have told rival teams that Bam Adebayo is untouchable. In addition, Lowe said superstars would want to play with Adebayo in Miami.
"It just burrowed into my head, would they ever put Bam in a package?" Lowe said on Friday's episode of his podcast. "Other teams I know have for sure asked about Bam and have been told, 'Hell no.' ... As they sniff around at Giannis and other star players, all of those star players are going to want to play with Bam."Lowe added that he strongly believes that Miami will be involved in trade talks involving Giannis Antetokounmpo in the coming weeks.
Miami is currently on a four-game winning streak and is No. 7 in the Eastern Conference with a 19-15 record. The Heat next face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
