UConn will begin its quest for a third national championship in four years when it lands in Philadelphia for a first-round contest against Furman.
The Huskies earned the No. 2 seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament bracket after finishing the regular season with a 29-5 overall record (17-3 in Big East play). However, Dan Hurley's squad did stumble down the stretch, dropping two of its last four games, including a blowout loss to St. John's in the conference title game.
Furman, meanwhile, took down ETSU in the SoCon championship game to punch its ticket to the "Big Dance." Freshman guard Alex Wilkins is the top scorer for the Paladins, averaging 17.7 points per game.
