DeMarvion Overshown exits Cowboys practice early, leading to new injury concern

The Dallas Cowboys desperately need DeMarvion Overshown back healthy.

Dallas sports one of the worst defenses in the NFL and Overshown should help upon his return from a torn ACL and MCL. Overshown was designated to return last week and his 2025 debut should be coming soon.

But now there is a new injury concern with Overshown who, according to The Dallas Morning News' Joseph Hoyt, exited practice early with trainers on Thursday.

Hoyt did note, however, that it didn't seem serious at all and it "sounds like it was something with his hand or finger."

"DeMarvion Overshown left practice but didn’t seem like there was a lot of concern, if at all. Sounds like it was something with his hand or finger in a drill," Hoyt said.

Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com noted that Overshown was not walking with a limp, so that's a good sign for his knee. The Athletic's Jon Machota also said it didn't seem like Overshown had a serious issue, so hopefully it's just a minor thing.

While all of that is good news, that doesn't take Overshown out of the woods yet. If whatever he's dealing with is serious enough, it could push his return timeline back, which the Cowboys cannot afford to have happen with the team sitting at 3-4-1.

Hopefully we'll get a detailed report soon about what's going on with Overshown, otherwise the next update we'll get is on Friday from head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
