With Travis Kelce’s long-term future unclear, the Chiefs' game on Thursday versus the Broncos could be the last time he plays at Arrowhead Stadium.

Nothing has been announced, and no decision has been made public. However, Kelce's possible retirement has been on the cards for a while. Andy Reid did not confirm or deny the speculations. ESPN's Adam Schefter posted the Kansas City coach's statement, while noting that it could be the tight end's final home game.

“I don’t know if it is or not," Reid said to reporters on Tuesday. "I haven’t talked to him. But I think his numbers and personality and the person, you know, I think speak for themselves. Phenomenal person, great for the community, has been great for the community. He’s everything you want from a player represented in an organization.”

"Legendary Run," one fan wrote. "If this is the last one at Arrowhead, that building owes him a standing ovation for life," another fan commented. "If this is it at Arrowhead… nothing but respect 🐐❤️," a fan said. "with the season they have had, to retire now would be going out on a low note, no? keep the cleats on 🏈," one fan tweeted. "Time to transition to Travis Swift and focus on his debut album," another fan wrote.

Arrowhead Stadium has been Travis Kelce’s second home since 2013, delivering countless postseason moments there. The tight end has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards multiple times and remains a central piece of the offense well into his 30s.

Travis Kelce on his future with the Chiefs

Travis Kelce acknowledged the uncertainty around his future ahead of the Chiefs’ Christmas Day home game. He said he wants to give Kansas City clarity as early as possible.

“Seeing my brother go through it and how the league works, the season restarts in April," Kelce said to reporters on Monday. "I want to give the Chiefs a good opportunity, whether I come back or not or if they want me back. It’s one of those things where I’d like to make that decision before they need to make draft picks and free agency opens. All that will be at the end of the season. I won’t be thinking about it until then.”

Kelce left the door open but made it clear that the decision timeline matters.
