The Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors collide on Christmas Day in what promises to be a cracking regular-season game at the Chase Center on Thursday. The buzz, anticipation and excitement around this encounter is palpable as rookie sensation Cooper Flagg will match up against veteran superstar Steph Curry for the first time in the NBA.

For the Warriors, the cloud of the infamous heated exchange between Draymond Green and Steve Kerr hovers over this game. It would be interesting to see how Green and the whole Warriors unit play after tempers flared on the bench the last time Golden State was in action.

For the Mavericks, their objective would be build on the nerve-jangling one-point win against the Denver Nuggets in the previous game. The partnership between Flagg and Anthony Davis has worked well as the franchise seeks consistency in its performance and results.

Dallas Mavericks starting lineup

The Mavericks' starting lineup could see one change, but that depends on P.J. Washington's health. The star wing missed the previous game, but if he is cleared to play on Thursday, he will take his place in the starting five. In that case, Jaden Hardy will move back to the bench.

The rest of the starters are going to remain the same. Ryan Nembhard and Naji Marshall will share the backcourt duties, while Cooper Flagg and Anthony Davis will be in the frontcourt.

Golden State Warriors starting lineup

The Warriors are on a mini two-game win streak and there is no need for Steve Kerr to tinker with the starting lineup. Steph Curry and Moses Moody will be in the backcourt, with Curry doing the heavy lifting on offense.

Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler will be on the wings, while Quinten Post will play at the center position and bring his ability to stretch the floor to the table.
