The Denver Broncos are still in pursuit of the all-time NFL sack record, but with the regular season winding down, time is running out for them to break it.
At one point this season, the Broncos were on a pace to shatter the all-time record, which is 72 sacks, set by the 1984 Chicago Bears. However, the team has slowed down in the sacks department and with just two games to go, we may not see that record fall.
The Broncos are sitting on 63 sacks for the season. They will need to come up with 10 more in the last two games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers in order to break it. However, since the Bears achieved that mark in a 16-man season, it may still be more impressive even if the Broncos post more.
The next opportunity to rack up some sacks will come on Christmas night against the Chiefs. Kansas City is down to its third-string quarterback, Chris Oladokun. His inexperience could give the Broncos a chance to put him down multiple times.
The Broncos still have 13 more sacks than any team in the league, but the numbers have tapered off in recent weeks.

It will likely be close, and it will come down to the last game of the season, but the Broncos still have a chance to break a record that has stood for over 40 years.
