The Dallas Cowboys went out this offseason and added four new running backs to their roster.
Dallas signed free agent running backs Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders and drafted Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah.
The Cowboys are trying to do everything they can to find their lead running back, and it might not come until next season.
Brentley Weissman from Pro Football Network published a 2026 Mock Draft and has the Cowboys drafting Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.
"The Cowboys currently have the weakest running back room in the NFL, and it’s not particularly close," Weissman wrote. "This team has been at its best when they are able to run the rock and be physical upfront and allow Dak Prescott to win off of play action. Jeremiyah Love is the best back in this class by a long shot and will be a Heisman finalist this upcoming fall with another strong season. His power, vision, and breakaway speed make him a dynamic runner."

Love has rushed for 1,510 yards and 18 scores in 29 games and is only improving.
There is a good chance Love will be able to take Notre Dame back to the playoffs this season and be one of the highest running backs drafted next April.
