Condolences to WWE legend Charles Robinson

Charles Robinson is one of the longest-tenured employees in WWE. He has been a referee for the company since 2001. The veteran recently suffered a personal loss, and condolences are in order for the legendary official.

In a post on his Instagram account, Robinson dropped some heartbreaking news about his nephew Shane. The son of Charles' brother, Scott Robinson, passed away on Tuesday from a bike accident at the age of 19.

"Found this super cute picture of my nephew Shane from 2012 or so. He was such a wonderful soul and he affected so many people. I think everyone in Newberry SC knew him. Always a straight shooter and he didn’t beat around the bush. He once ask a guy with an eye patch if he was a pirate with no hesitation. Shane was tragically killed Tuesday night while riding his bike. Love him so much. #rip #nephew," Robinson wrote.

According to Shane Robinson's obituary with the Whitaker Funeral Home, the 19-year-old was struck while riding his bicycle on the evening of October 28. He was survived by his parents, Scott and Janet, and older sister, Jessica, and her husband, John. It described his uncle Charles Robinson as someone he looked up to with admiration.

Shane's memorial is scheduled for November 7 at The Old Newberry Hotel in Newberry, South Carolina. The family is aking to donate to the Autism Strong Foundation. Sportskeeda is sending its condolences to Charles Robinson and his family.

Charles Robinson recently hospitalized after incident with bat

Back in August, Charles Robinson shared that he was hospitalized after being bitten by a bat. He was rushed to the emergency room and had to get at least seven shots, possibly for rabies. Bats are known to transmit the virus, and people who come in contact with them are encouraged to get shots.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet the following month, Robinson revealed that his cats George and Michael were playing with something early in the morning. He got up and thought that they were messing around with his black latex gloves, but it turned out to be a bat, and it bit him.
