As we enter the middle of June, it is time for people to begin their research for the upcoming fantasy football season. One player that should be on everyone's radar is Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown. He was the Bengals’ fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but he did not get the chance for a significant workload until last season. Brown started 10 games last season and rushed 229 times for 990 yards and seven touchdowns. He also added 54 receptions for 360 yards and four touchdowns. Now, Brown enters the 2025 season as the unquestioned starter in Cincinnati and should be a top draft pick in fantasy football.
According to NFL Rumors, Brown is the unquestioned RB1 in Cincinnati and will be getting a heavy workload this year. Brown finished last season as the 10th highest scoring running back in fantasy football PPR scoring, and he is being drafted as a second-round pick heading into this season. He even had nine straight games of double-digit points to end the season.

— NFL Rumors (@nflrums) June 15, 2025What separates a good fantasy running back from a great one is the ability to catch passes. Brown is one of the best pass-catching running backs in football, and the Bengals are a pass-heavy team with Joe Burrow. Having players on your fantasy team from high-powered offenses is always a winning strategy. That is another reason why Brown will be a hot commodity.
Fantasy Pros has Brown ranked as the ninth running back headed into the 2025 season. That will likely make him a second-round pick in most formats and an RB1 on most fantasy teams. The 25-year-old running back should be in for a breakout season and one that will make fantasy football managers happy.
