Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo enlisted two of the NFL star's San Francisco 49ers teammates as the godfathers to their daughter.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Colette, in July 2025, and on Thursday, Aug. 27, Culpo shared a photo on her Instagram Story of McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Kyle Juszczyk during preseason practice. In the photo, the 49ers stars wore huge smiles as McCaffrey held up his daughter. Culpo wrote, "The Godfathers," on the post, per the New York Post.
Juszczyk shared that he was Colette's godfather when the couple announced they were expecting another baby: “My second goddaughter, I’m truly honored beyond belief,” he wrote in the Instagram comment section at the time.
Until Culpo's Instagram Story post, it was unknown to the public that Kittle was also Colette's godfather.
Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo expecting Baby No. 2
Back in May, the NFL star and model shared that they were expanding their family.
"Best birthday gift baby #2 coming soon," the couple wrote in a joint post.
Friends of the couple went to the comment section of the post to share their congratulatory messages.
George's wife, Claire Kittle, congratulated the couple, "The luckiest babies in the world."
Former "The Real" TV host Jeannie Mai wrote, "I’m so thrilled for you my love."
Culpo's sister, Sophia Culpo, wrote "Keep em coming y’all they’re really cute!!!!!!"
McCaffrey and Culpo tied the knot in the model's home state of Rhode Island in June 2024.
She shared last month during a "GRWM" (Get Ready With Me) about how she's been feeling about McCaffrey going back to work.
“Christian’s leaving for the season. So sad,” she said in a TikTok video last month. “Everything feels overwhelming. Plan is I’m having a C-section because I had a C-section in July last year, so having a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) wasn’t an option.”
She added that she scheduled the C-section when McCaffrey's schedule is slightly "easier" so that he can be there when baby No. 2 arrives.
"Basically, it’s on an off day for him, so he’ll be able to come just for the birth,” explained Culpo. “And then aside from that, he’ll have to go back. So it’s gonna be different than my first birth.”
She let her followers in on the truth behind the NFL season, and while fans don't see their favorite players take the field until September, it starts way before that.
@oliviadangerculpoLots of changes, updates and surprises this week!
♬ original sound - oliviaculpoAll the misconception is that the football season starts like [in] September when all the games start, but it really doesn’t. It starts at the end of July because that’s when they go to camp, and then just goes right into the season,” she said.
It's unclear when exactly Culpo will be giving birth, but fans who are waiting for McCaffrey to suit up in the first regular-season game will not have to wait much longer. The 49ers will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 10 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia, at 8:35 p.m. ET.
