Naomi Osaka's mom goes viral for bold red dress at US Open practice

We now know that Naomi Osaka's fashion sense runs in the family.

Tamaki Osaka, the tennis star's mom, caused a stir with her appearance at a US Open practice on Thursday, Aug. 27, when she wore a red mini dress, long black gloves, oversized gradient sunglasses, and Air Max Plus “Swarovski - Sunset” sneakers.

Fans couldn't get enough of Tamaki's look and shared their comments on her outfit underneath a post on X.

"Mama Osaka is slaying it too. Posing it up like a model . . Bring on the Championships!" one fan wrote. 

"Okay this is fierce," another fan commented, adding a fire emoji.

Another fan praised Tamaki for passing down her fashion looks to the tennis star, "Now I know where Naomi got her fashion statements," the fan wrote.

Naomi was also serving looks this week when she wore an aqua mini dress.  The dress was a designer piece from De La Vali Eulalia, which she paired with fuzzy matching aqua-blue open-toe Bottega Veneta Cozy mules and a burgundy saddle shoulder bag that she decorated with matching floral charms that hung from her purse.

The four-time Grand Slam champion shared her look on Instagram on Thursday as she posed in front of a pizzeria, leaned on stadium stairs, and was seen exiting a black SUV. 

While all of the Osaka family's looks are starting trends, fans will soon be able to see Naomi in action with more of her looks on the court. Naomi will face Anastasia Zakharova in her first-round US Open match on Aug. 31.
