AEW star Chris Jericho has been dropping subtle hints about his future. The star is rumored to have a WWE return next year.
Jericho was a major star for AEW when the company started back in 2019. He was the inaugural AEW World Champion and played a major role in putting the company on the sports entertainment map. However, the star's contract is coming to an end in December 2025, and there are rumors that he may return to WWE for one final run in 2026.
This week, Y2J shared another WWE reference on his social media. He shared a story on his Instagram account. The story featured Jericho in a Triple Threat Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship against The Rock and Kurt Angle. The encounter took place on the December 24, 2001, edition of Monday Night RAW. This follows a series of hints and teases where the Ayatollah of Rock 'n Rolla has referenced WWE on multiple occasions.

This week, Chris Jericho shared an update on his whereabouts during AEW Worlds End. He announced the return of his special show, the Winnipeggers, on YouTube.
Jericho confirmed on social media that the show will return for a holiday special episode on December 27 at 9 PM Eastern. This, in fact, will collide with AEW's final pay-per-view of the year, Worlds End. The veteran wrestler also shared that the original cast of the show would be on this special broadcast. He claimed that they didn't have any plan or script and would just show up for a good time with the fans.
With the Royal Rumble season coming up in WWE, it will be interesting to see if Jericho makes the trip to Saudi Arabia for a surprise return.
