Chelsea Green comments on embracing the "Diva" label in WWE

SmackDown star Chelsea Green shared her thoughts on embracing the "Diva" label that was once used for female stars in the company.

Speaking on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, the champion noted that she was a fan of Kelly Kelly and claimed that she was the ultimate diva. Green noted that she embraced being called a diva and added that Nikki Bella was a perfect example of a star who embraced being a diva and a WWE Superstar.

"When I first started wrestling, I was kind of poo-pooed for wanting to be a diva, and I realized, like, no, I’m going to embrace it. I got into this because I loved Kelly Kelly, who I think is the ultimate diva. I think Nikki Bella is a perfect example of, you know, she was the ultimate diva, and she also embraced being a WWE Superstar, period," Green said. (H/T: SEScoops)

Chelsea Green wanted to bring back the Divas Title, but WWE weren't interested: “A Divas United States custom championship? I asked. It’s not happening. I really did try. I tried so hard. I wanted to do a Divas open challenge. I wanted to do the whole shebang.” (Insight w/Chris

Chelsea Green is also one-half of the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions alongside NXT star Ethan Page. It will be interesting to see if she can defeat Giulia to retain the Women's United States Championship tonight on SmackDown.
