WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair suffered an unfortunate botch on this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, causing the screen to go black multiple times. She has now spoken about it on social media.
The Queen faced Nia Jax on the show, in a match she ended up losing. During the bout, Charlotte had multiple issues with her gear, which forced WWE to cut the broadcast and show a black screen instead. Flair adjusted her top and eventually fixed the matter as the feed remained off for a longer period.
A concerned fan pointed out the incident on X/Twitter and received a reply from Charlotte Flair. Judging by her response, she seems to be light-hearted about the entire situation. The 14-time World Champion quote-tweeted the fan and jokingly stated that she is going to start wrestling in the robes she wears during her entrance:
"I’m going to start wrestling in the robes 🥴," wrote Charlotte Flair.Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss have their hands full following WWE SmackDown
As mentioned above, Charlotte Flair lost to Nia Jax on SmackDown. This was due to a distraction from the debuting Lash Legend, who made her way from the crowd and attacked Alexa Bliss. It looks like Jax and Legend are being positioned as challengers for the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.
Flair and Bliss are being targeted from all angles, with The Kabuki Warriors next in line for a title shot. Asuka and Kairi Sane will challenge for the Tag Team Championship on next week's episode of WWE RAW, with a title change being a real possibility.
It remains to be seen, though, if Nia Jax and Lash Legend get involved in the match. This might be done to build to Survivor Series: WarGames, with WWE leaving subtle hints regarding the women's bout. Becky Lynch, AJ Lee, IYO SKY, and Rhea Ripley, if she is cleared to return to the ring, could all be involved in it.
