Dani Busboom Kelly expressed her thoughts about bringing new changes to the Nebraska volleyball team as they extended their unbeaten streak in the season. The former Husker lauded the players for putting forward a strong performance against Illinois to clinch the victory with a score of 25-11, 25-15, 25-14.

The Bob Devaney Sports Center witnessed an attendance of 8,559 fans as the Huskers won their 14th match of the season with a dominating performance from Andi Jackson, who scored an errorless nine kills with a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage. On the other hand, Laney Choboy posted a career-high performance with 20 digs, three sets, and two aces.

Harper Murray and Virginia added eight kills each to help the team extend its dominance in the season. Dani Busboom Kelly spoke about the team's performance in a post-match press conference and weighed in on bringing new changes to the team. The American coach shared that the team has been training very hard in the season and has not brought about any changes as such.

Busboom Kelly expressed that the team is prepared for any challenging situation later on in the season.

"You know, I dont really feel like myself or the staff has done anything different or anything new. The team is taking care of business. They are the ones that come and focus everyday and I think that the leadership has been good and I think they continue to be hungry. I also think that the depth of this team helps when you are in practice. Practices are really tough and even in November you saw tonight like the positions are still pretty thin, you know the change that we could make. So, you got to work hard everyday or somebody else can get done. Our team knows that it is a matter of time before they get pushed and they are just trying to stay ahead of that," she said. Dani Busboom Kelly expressed her thoughts about the team's performance in a post-match interview and shared that the Nebraska volleyball team has been consistently putting forward great efforts on the defensive front.

Even though they haven't been able to excel massively on the offensive front historically, this year's team has been able to improve on such aspects by working on small aspects that have a huge impact on the overall game.

“Nebraska has always been great defensively and sometimes hasn’t put up offensive numbers. This year, we’re really putting up really high offensive numbers as well. It’s just the attention to detail and the awareness that we’re going to be great on both sides. We’re not going to rely on one or the other to win games," she said.

The Nebraska volleyball team will be in action against Minnesota at the Maturi Pavilion on November 8, 2025.
