President Trump shared his reaction to Nancy Pelosi's retirement during a press conference on Thursday. Pelosi announced her retirement from Congress following a four-decade-long career via a video message on November 6. Nancy Pelosi, who served as the first woman Speaker of the House, confirmed that she would not seek reelection after her term concludes in 2027.
Following the announcement, reporters asked President Donald Trump to share his reaction to Nancy Pelosi's retirement. Speaking to journalists, Trump said:
"I think she's an evil woman. I'm glad she's retiring. I think she did the country a great service by retiring. I think she was a tremendous liability for the country. I thought she was an evil woman who did a poor job, who cost the country a lot in damages and in reputation. I thought she was terrible."Trump's reaction came days after the California Democrat called the current POTUS "the worst thing on the face of the earth." In a recent interview with CNN, Pelosi discussed the recent happenings in the House. During the conversation, she took a shot at the US President and said:
"Our founders did not want to have again. How can I say this? It'll sound like I'm awful about Trump because he's just a vile creature. The host again asked her if she truly believed her remark. Nancy Pelosi reaffirmed her stance and added:
"I do. Because he's the president of the United States, and he does not honor the Constitution of the United States."Donald Trump's son also reacted to Pelosi's comments. Reposting the clip of the interview, he mocked the Democratic Party leader by writing:

Nancy Pelosi was first chosen to represent San Francisco in Congress in 1987 and is still representing the city. While announcing her retirement, the Democratic Party leader shared a message for her congressional district.
"Dear San Francisco, we are fortunate to live in the most beautiful, remarkable place on earth... For decades, I've cherished the privilege of representing our magnificent city in the United States Congress," Pelosi said.As per the BBC, she was chosen by her party to serve as the Speaker of the House in 2007. She became the first woman to hold the office. In her retirement speech, she thanked San Francisco for this opportunity.
"It was the faith that you had placed in me and the latitude that you had given me that enabled me to shatter the marble ceiling and be the first woman speaker of the house whose voice would certainly be heard. It was an historic moment for our country," she added.Pelosi said she wanted her fellow San Franciscans to be the first to know that she would not be "seeking re-election to Congress." She noted that she looks forward to her "final year" representing the city.
Former US President Barack Obama also shared a farewell message on Nancy Pelosi's retirement. In his X post, he thanked the former Speaker for her leadership.
