The Atlanta Braves will certainly be looking to make some player moves this offseason. After a disappointing 2025 campaign. Atlanta's front office will be looking to make amends with the fan base by bringing in new faces, whether it be via free agency or the trade market.
As far as the trade market is concerned, the rumors are pouring in with high-profile starting pitchers, and the Atlanta Braves may be in the mix for some of them.

Should the Braves trade for Sonny Gray?
St. Louis Cardinals' starting pitcher Sonny Gray may be an available name on the trade market.
In a recent SportsTalkATL.com article by Chase Irle, Sonny Gray is named as an option that could be available for trade this winter:
"The Cardinals have made some questionable offseason decisions in recent years, but perhaps this is the winter they finally begin to move off some of their veteran pieces. One name to watch is Sonny Gray, who’s entering the final year of a deal worth $35 million, with a $30 million option for 2027."

The contract isn't ideal, and may be the reason the Braves want to avoid this deal, but Gray can provide a really valuable depth piece for Atlanta's rotation, which has dealt with a plethora of injuries in the last two seasons.
Gray has thrown 160+ innings and has made 28+ starts in the last three seasons. His ERA (4.28) this season may indicate that his age (35) is catching up to him, but he continues to rack up strikeouts year in and year out.
