Cole Caufield loves himself a Saturday.

Every time the Montreal Canadiens' young star plays on this day of the week, he gets the job done.

Caufield entered this Saturday just one behind the NHL lead for most goals on Saturday since 2024-25, behind Nathan MacKinnon.

And then Caufield came out and scored a couple goals on Saturday.

It's what he does.

Caufield has 65 goals overall since the start of the 2024-25 season.

To have 23 just on one day of the week is crazy, even if it's a day that frequently has NHL games.

That's more than one-third of his goals since the start of last season just on one day of the week.

It's tough to do better than that.
