Grind Session Crush in the Valley under way with three of SN's Top 25 boys basketball teams competing this weekend

Grind Session Crush in the Valley is the weekend's top boys basketball event on the national scene with three teams from the latest edition of The Sporting News Boys Basketball Top 25 in California for the action.

That includes the No. 8 Prolific Prep [Fort Lauderdale, FL] Crew who defeated DNA Prep of California, 91-52, on Friday. The Crew are back in action Saturday night against BV Academy of Arizona, and they'll be joined by the No. 18 St. John Bosco [Bellflower, CA] Braves and No. 20 Salesian College Prep [Richmond, CA] Pride. The Braves will take on the Saint Mary's [Albany, CA] Panthers while the Pride will face the St. Joseph [Santa Maria, CA] Knights.

The event will come to a close Sunday evening with the exception of one game scheduled for February 5 between California programs Elev8 Elite and Golden State Prep Grey squad.
