The Toronto Blue Jays can still have a say in their potentially departing faces.

But with their Game 7 defeat came the next part of the baseball calendar: The offseason and free agency are here.

On Sunday, the MLBPA released a list of the veterans who are becoming free agents now.

The Blue Jays have six players listed:

  • Chris Bassitt
  • Bo Bichette
  • Seranthony Dominguez
  • Ty France
  • Isiah Kiner-Falefa
  • Max Scherzer

Bichette is the biggest name. He'll likely command a nine-figure contract.

The star shortstop has made it clear he wants to stay in Toronto. It remains to be seen whether they'll offer enough money to keep him.

Bassitt, Scherzer, Dominguez and IKF all have varying degrees of appeal to be kept around, too. In their cases, it likely all comes back to how much value the Blue Jays feel they're getting on a deal.

If they let those guys go, Toronto could opt to try and get a bit younger and promote from within.

Whatever happens, the Blue Jays will have to work hard to get back to the World Series. This offseason is crucial in giving them a chance to try and make it happen.
