Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is a forthcoming American heist film, directed by Ruben Fleischer. It was written by Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Seth Grahame-Smith, based on a story by Eric Warren Singer and Lesslie.

The movie is the sequel to Now You See Me 2 (2016) and is the third installment in the Now You See Me film series that follows the Four Horsemen/magicians who use their skills to unmask the corrupt and execute daring heists. Lionsgate will release the film in the United States on November 14, 2025.

Several returning characters from the original movie series are returning for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, such as Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman. The film also has fresh faces, including Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike.

Jesse Eisenberg is back as Danny Atlas, the leader of the Four Horsemen, characterized by his methodical nature and tight control. Jesse Eisenberg is an American actor, playwright, and filmmaker, known for his role as Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network (2010), which brought him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Among his previous works are Zombieland (2009), Café Society (2016), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Fleishman Is in Trouble (2022). Besides his acting career, Eisenberg has directed and written films like When You Finish Saving the World and A Real Pain (2024), for which he won the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay.


2) Woody Harrelson as Merritt McKinney

Woody Harrelson reprises his role as Merritt McKinney in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. He is the mentalist and hypnotist expert of the Four Horsemen, the most experienced one. Harrelson is a veteran of both TV and cinema, having made his mark with the TV series Cheers (1985–1993), which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for his acting.

Among his other works are movies like Natural Born Killers (1994), No Country for Old Men (2007), Zombieland (2009), and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017).

He has been nominated for the Academy Award three times and has also been involved in big franchises like The Hunger Games and Venom. In addition to film, Harrelson has been involved in critically acclaimed TV series such as True Detective (2014) and White House Plumbers (2023).


3) Dave Franco as Jack Wilder

Dave Franco returns as Jack Wilder, the youngest member of the Horsemen and a master of sleight of hand in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Franco started his career with Superbad (2007) and strengthened it with his roles in 21 Jump Street (2012), Neighbors (2014), and Nerve (2016).

Moreover, he wrote and directed The Rental (2020), making his debut as a filmmaker. Some of his other major works are The Disaster Artist (2017), and the Apple TV+ series The Afterparty (2022). Dave Franco, in 2025, also starred with Alison Brie in the supernatural movie Together, which had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. He was recently seen in the movie Regretting You.

4) Isla Fisher as Henley Reeves

Isla Fisher is back as Henley Reeves, the escapologist who was previously the assistant of Danny Atlas. Isla Fisher's career started with the Australian soap Home and Away (1994–1997), after which she made her Hollywood debut with Scooby-Doo (2002).

Some of her notable works are Wedding Crashers (2005), Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009), The Great Gatsby (2013), and Nocturnal Animals (2016). Moreover, Fisher has voiced characters in animated films like Rango (2011) and Rise of the Guardians (2012).

Besides acting, she has written a number of children's books and is still active in television projects, for example, Wolf Like Me (2022–present).


5) Morgan Freeman as Thaddeus Bradley

Morgan Freeman reprised his role as Thaddeus Bradley, a retired magician-turned-skeptic who still keeps very close to the Four Horsemen's realm. The span of Freeman's career is more than six decades, notably with movies such as Driving Miss Daisy (1989), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Million Dollar Baby (2004), and Invictus (2009).

Besides an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and several lifetime achievement honors, Freeman has also been recognized for his unique voice in narrating highly praised documentary films like March of the Penguins (2005) and The Story of God with Morgan Freeman (2016–2019).

What is Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is about?

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is the continuing story of the Four Horsemen, who reunite for the heist of the world’s largest queen diamond. The characters of magicians, this time, are compelled to outwit a strong family crime syndicate in conjunction with recruiting three new illusionists as their partners.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t filming took place in Budapest, Hungary, in July 2024. The crew also shot scenes in Antwerp, Belgium, as well as the Louvre and Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Production officially ended in November 2024. The score for the movie is by Brian Tyler, who is also the music composer for the first two parts of the series.

During CinemaCon 2025, the studio announced that the fourth chapter of the Now You See Me series is already in the pipeline, with Ruben Fleischer likely to be the director again.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t will be theatrically released in the United States on November 14, 2025.
