The Buffalo Bills are set to take on the 3-11 Cleveland Browns in Cleveland on Sunday. The Browns are set to be without several stars, including cornerback Denzel Ward and tight end David Njoku. And while the Browns are losing players, the Bills are adding a Pro Bowler to their roster. Per Ian Rapoport, the Bills are signing edge rusher Mattew Judon to their practice squad.
"The Bills hosted veteran edge Matthew Judon today and they intend to sign him to their practice squad, per The Insiders," Ian Rapoport reports on X. "Potential help for the playoff push from the former Dolphin."
Judon was released by the Miami Dolphins earlier this week after the team's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He joined Miami after one season with the Atlanta Falcons where he posted 5.5 sacks. Prior to that, Judon spent three seasons with the New England Patriots, appearing in two Pro Bowls in that span and recording 15.5 sacks in 2022 and 12.5 sacks in 2021.
Judon was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He earned his first Pro Bowl with Baltimore in 2019. Overall, the Grand Valley State product is a four-time Pro Bowler and has recorded 72 career sacks.
Judon joins a pass rush group that already features Joey Bosa, who leads the NFL in forced fumbles, Greg Rousseau, and A.J. Epenesa. Assuming Judon gets called up to the 53-man roster before season's end, Buffalo now has one of the deepest group of pass rushers in the league.
