The Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns will battle in a home-and-home set, which begins on Thursday at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. The division rivals look to avoid losing three straight games.
Phoenix (14-12) and Golden State (13-14) have both lost six of their last 10 games. The Warriors are coming off a 136-131 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. Steph Curry scored 48 points on 16-for-26 shooting, including 12-for-19 from 3-point range.
On the other hand, the Suns lost 116-114 to the LA Lakers on Sunday. Phoenix overcame a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter and briefly held the lead down the stretch. However, the Lakers prevailed and handed the Suns their second straight defeat.

Devin Booker returned to the lineup on Sunday after missing three games due to a groin injury, and led Phoenix with 27 points, seven assists and six rebounds on 7-for-17 shooting.

Golden State had a 118-107 win over Phoenix in their first matchup on Nov. 4. Thursday's game is their second meeting, and they will battle again on Saturday at Chase Center in San Francisco. They meet for the fourth and final time on Feb. 5.

Golden State faced criticism throughout the season over its lack of consistent play. During a media availability on Wednesday, Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed that the team will be moving forward with an established starting lineup.
Barring any injuries, the starters will be Steph Curry, Moses Moody, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and Quinten Post.
The team announced that guard Pat Spencer (personal) and big man Al Horford (back) will be unavailable for Thursday's game in Phoenix. Per The Athletic's Nick Friedell, Horford is expected to miss another week of action. Meanwhile, veteran guard Seth Curry, who was initially listed as questionable due to a thigh issue, will be available.

Coming into Thursday's game, the Suns are No. 7 in the West, just 1.5 games ahead of the Warriors.
Suns star Jalen Green remains out due to a hamstring injury he sustained during training camp, while forward Isaiah Livers will be sidelined on Thursday due to a hip issue. Guard Grayson Allen is listed as questionable due to right knee soreness.
