The Buffalo Bills are already going to work on DJ Moore's contract.
They traded for him from the Chicago Bears, knowing his salary was going to make things a bit tricky. Getting Moore meant having to clear some other space to be compliant with the salary cap at the start of free agency.
Now that the Bills got past that point, though, they did what was expected and restructured his deal.
Spotrac reported the situation on Tuesday morning:
"The Bills converted $22.185M of WR DJ Moore's salary into signing bonus, adding 1 void year, clearing $17.7M of 2026 cap space."
This is how that looks in updated cap hits:
The #Bills converted $22.185M of WR D.J. Moore's salary into signing bonus, adding 1 void year, clearing $17.7M of 2026 cap space.
Updated Cap Hits
2026: $6.75M
2027: $28.9M
2028: $28.9M
2029: $28.9M
2030: $4.4M (void)

Spotrac wrote in a follow-up post that Moore's salaries for both 2026 and 2027 are entirely guaranteed.
The Bills made a bold move to acquire Moore from the Bears, but it's one that most Buffalo fans know was necessary. They simply haven't been good enough at WR for Josh Allen, and Moore is a clear upgrade on who they had in the building already.
The money won't make it easy, and Moore isn't getting any younger, but for a couple years at least, he should help Allen have a better chance to reach (and potentially win) a Super Bowl.
