Sidney Crosby is one of the all-time great players in the history of hockey.
He also has one of the sport's all-time great moments.
On Tuesday, Sporting News released its ranking of the 140 Greatest Sports Moments, commemorating a publication that dates back to 1886.
Crosby, the Pittsburgh Penguins legend, made the list.
And if your mind is working quickly, you likely have already realized it wasn't for a play he made for the Penguins. It's for his Golden Goal in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver for Team Canada against the United States.
Crosby received a feed from Jarome Iginla and did the rest, setting off pandemonium across Canada.
"The U.S. finally answered that with a ‘Golden Goal’ of its own in 2026 by Jack Hughes, but Crosby’s came on home ice and solidified his forever status as a hockey legend in Canada," writes SN's Bill Bender.

Crosby's Golden Goal ranks No. 139 on the top-140 moments list.
It's right ahead of Shohei Ohtani striking out Mike Trout to win the 2023 World Baseball Classic, and right behind Texas Western beating Kentucky in the 1966 NCAA men's basketball title game.
As far as hockey moments go, there have been few greater than Sid the Kid's golden moment.
