Team India all-rounder Axar Patel was named Player of the Match as the Men in Blue beat Australia by 48 runs at the Carrara Oval in Queensland on Thursday, November 6 in the fourth T20I of the five-match series. Thanks to his heroics, India took the crucial 2-1 lead in the series.
Australia won the toss and sent India into bat in Queensland. The visitors made a confident start to their innings, but lost their way rather badly to slip to 136-6 in the 17th over. An impressive cameo from Axar (21* off 11) took them to 167-8. The left-arm spinner then dismissed Matthew Short and Josh Inglis to lead India's fightback with the ball.

The left-hander's best of 65 came off 31 balls against Sri Lanka in Pune in January 2003. The innings included three fours and six sixes.
