To initiate the Communications Group Hermes quest in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC, head over to the Rising Spires area, which is located southeast of the Hometree in Silk Woods.

As soon as you arrive in the area, Teylan will inform you that RDA has developed a relay comm using an antenna network, and if we destroy the system, it will really mess with the enemy. Following that, he will assign you the following three tasks:

  • Defeat all three nearby Hawk posts
  • Defeat Camp Messenger
  • Defeat Fort Hermes

There are three Hawk posts that you can attack in any order to hinder RDA's plans: Hawk Alpha, Hawk Bravo, and Hawk Charlie. Visit each of these sites one by one and do the following:

  • Destroy the generator fuse boxes
  • Overload the maintenance system
  • Destroy the batteries

You should note that you face off against heavy enemy forces at each of the three Hawk posts, so be prepared for combat. Moreover, if you have difficulty searching for the machinery to target, you can rely on your Na'vi sense to find them.

The next location you must attack to complete the Communications Group Hermes quest in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes is Camp Messenger. Head over to the location and defeat all the RDA enemies that come your way. Afterward, unlock the maintenance system of the facility to expose the vulnerable targets. You can do so by simply pulling on the switch shown by the quest marker.

Your next objective at Camp Messenger is to overload and destroy three antennas within the facility. Simply follow the quest marker to each antenna and use your knife to overload it. Moreover, destroy the two batteries of each antenna as well when you overload them. However, be careful, as enemy reinforcements will keep arriving while you are sabotaging the machinery.

Once two out of the three antennas are destroyed, you will be tasked with rebooting the system at Camp Messenger. Simply follow the quest marker to find a room where you can conduct the reboot. However, the entrance to the room will be blocked with the door damaged. Fly around the area on your Ikran and target a fuse box inside the room to unlock the door.

Then get inside and pull the backup switch to reboot the system. You can then continue your objective of destroying the third antenna. Once it is destroyed as well, Camp Messenger will be ruined, and you can progress ahead with the Communications Group Hermes quest in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC.

Defeat Fort Hermes

Fort Hermes is the final target of your mission. As soon as you approach it, you will realize that there is a Dragon Gunship present at the location, which you must also destroy. Since the Gunship uses navigation beacons, your first objective is to take them out. You can simply use the quest marker to first activate the navigation beacons from outside a control room and then disable the active navigation beacons at another location.

Once that is done, your next task is to expose the Dragon's engine and destroy it. To do so, just use your Ikran to fly toward the Gunship and jump on it. Then get close to an engine and press the button beside it to expose it. Then shoot the engine to blow it up.

As soon as you blow up the first engine, the navigation signal of the Dragon will get back online. At this point, you must repeat the entire process again for the remaining three engines, starting with disabling the active navigation beacons first, followed by climbing onto the Gunship to expose and destroy its engine.

Upon destroying the fourth and final engine of the Dragon Gunship, a cutscene will ensue where it will crash into Fort Hermes, destroying the entire RDA facility. This will mark the end of the Communications Group Hermes quest in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes.
