Atlanta Hawks vs Brooklyn Nets Preview

The Hawks are on a two-game losing streak after dropping games to the OKC Thunder and Chicago Bulls. Most recently, they lost 128-123 to the Bulls on Monday. Trae Young had a double-double of 21 points and 17 assists, while offseason acquisition Kristaps Porzingis had 27 points. Jalen Johnson had 25 points.

As per many analysts, this is the best roster that the Hawks have had since Young joined the team. The poor start could be concerning but we are still in the very early stages of the season and it could just be a case of team building chemistry.

The Hawks have listed Jalen Johnson (ankle) and Zaccharie Risacher (sprained right ankle) as probable for Wednesday’s game.

The Nets are firmly in a rebuilding phase and their record shows that. They have been far from competitive in most of the games so far and are coming off of a 137-109 beating against the Houston Rockets on Monday.

Terance Mann had 21 points, while Michael Porter Jr. had 18 points. The rest of the starters struggled, especially Cam Thomas with just nine points. The team needs his scoring if it is to compete for wins.

The Hawks will be without Haywood Highsmith who is dealing with a knee injury, while Ziaire Williams is questionable with a back issue.
