“Arre band karo” - Rohit Sharma scolds paparazzi at Mumbai airport ahead of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 [Watch]

Team India superstar Rohit Sharma was visibly irritated and scolded paparazzi over filming him at Mumbai airport as he was departing for Jaipur ahead of the upcoming edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In a video that surfaced on the social media platform of X, the veteran cricketer reprimanded the photographers and strictly told them to stop recording.

Rohit landed in Jaipur late on Monday along with Mumbai captain Shardul Thakur to play in the first two matches of VHT 2025-26. Mumbai are in Group C in the tournament and are set to face Sikkim on December 24. A couple of days later, the western powerhouse will lock horns against Uttarakhand.

Rohit Sharma will be keen to carry his excellent form and set the Vijay Hazare Trophy alight. The Nagpur-born cricketer climbed to the No.1 ODI ranking after his sensational run in the 50-over series against Australia, where he slammed 202 runs in three innings, including a ton in Sydney. He followed it up with two brisk half-centuries in the three ODIs at home versus South Africa.

Rohit's last appearance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy was in 2018, which was the semi-final against Hyderabad at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He managed only 17 runs, but Mumbai won that game. In 18 matches in the tournament history, the veteran has scored 581 runs at 38.73 with one century and three fifties.

Karnataka are the defending champions, having beaten Vidarbha in the 2024-25 edition.
