Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis is now the trade target of the Atlanta Hawks, a team desperate for a roster upgrade amid a dismal stretch. Entering Tuesday, the Hawks have lost seven straight games and eight of their last 10. They are No. 10 in the Eastern Conference with a 15-19 record.

Davis, who has missed the Mavericks' last two games due to right adductor soreness, was recently linked to the Golden State Warriors. NBA insider Chris Haynes reported on Friday that Golden State has explored the idea of trading for Davis.

On Tuesday, ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel reported the latest intel on Davis. Siegel said the Hawks have emerged as a serious suitor for the one-time NBA champion. Atlanta is reportedly willing to include 2024 No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher in a deal.

"The Hawks are heavily pursuing Anthony Davis," Siegel said. "We can confirm that there has been direct communication discussing what both sides want… I’ve been told the Hawks have signaled directly to the Mavs that they would trade Zaccharie Risacher to acquire Davis."

Siegel doubled down on NBA insider Marc Stein's report on Monday, saying that Atlanta is willing to trade Risacher in a "proverbial right scenario."

While there are concerns with his injury history and his massive contract, Anthony Davis could help Atlanta's playoff run in a wide-open conference. The 10-time NBA All-Star gives the Hawks an elite frontcourt player with the ability to finish lobs and protect the rim.

Brett Siegel says Anthony Davis-to-Atlanta blockbuster trade could expand to include five teams

In the same article on Tuesday, NBA insider Brett Siegel said that the Anthony Davis blockbuster trade to the Atlanta Hawks would also include the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets.

"While this is strictly a hypothetical trade scenario with no intel suggesting these five teams are coming together to make such a deal, here is a five-team trade involving the Hawks, Mavericks, Kings, Warriors and Nets that starts with Davis heading to Atlanta," Siegel wrote.

In Siegel's trade proposal, aside from Davis, the Hawks would also get Zach LaVine and D'Angelo Russell. Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks would receive a package headlined by Zaccharie Risacher and Domantas Sabonis, along with multiple future draft picks.

Trae Young, Kristaps Porzingis and Jonathan Kuminga will land in Sacramento, while Golden State will reunite with Klay Thompson. The Warriors will also get Nic Claxton and Keon Ellis. The Nets, meanwhile, would receive Moses Moody, Buddy Hield, Trayce Jackson-Davis and picks.
