Andy Reid reacts to rumors Taylor Swift wedding is distracting Travis Kelce

Andy Reid is not entertaining rumors that Travis Kelce is distracted by his wedding planning with Taylor Swift.

“Listen, he has been here most of the offseason if not the whole offseason. He’s been around. It is good to have him here,” the Kansas City Chiefs head coach said of Kelce in a press conference on Friday, June 12. “He did the mandatory camp and [did] a nice job there. It’s good to have him back in and rolling."

Reid added that Swift and Kelce's wedding, which is expected to occur over the summer, is not throwing him off his game.

“You see no distractions with that and the wedding,” Reid continued.“It’s like when I got married my wife did everything, so I just kinda followed her lead on it.”

Despite what the public might think, Reid explained that "he looks like he is pretty focused on this job."

Kelce proposed to Swift in August 2025 after two years of dating. The couple will reportedly get married on July 3 in New York City. 

Last week, TMZ reported that the couple will tie the knot in Madison Square Garden.  In order to keep any potential crowds contained and for the safety of the guests and couple, Kelce and Swift have reportedly contacted NYPD as well as private companies for security. They will also have streets blocked off surrounding Madison Square Garden.

The wedding is not expected to be anything less than grand, with a rumored 1,100 to 1,200 people invited. Swift has a lot of A-list friends that will reportedly attend. A longtime friend of the singer, Karlie Kloss, is said to have gotten an invite despite their rumored falling out years ago. Benson Boone has also been rumored to have snagged an invitation to the nuptials, and Swift's BFFs Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez are also rumored to be a part of the singer's wedding party.
