This World Cup features three opening ceremonies, each coming before the opening match for the host country. The USA will be the third and final host country to start its World Cup journey, facing Paraguay in Los Angeles on Friday night.

USA World Cup opening ceremony details

The United States' World Cup opening ceremony will take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles before the USA's opening match against Paraguay on the same field Friday night.

The ceremony is expected to last 13 minutes, according to The Athletic. That's in line with Canada's opening ceremony but shorter than Mexico's, which runs 16 minutes and 30 seconds.

Katy Perry and Future will headline the show, along with Blackpink star Lisa. Six performers were announced as part of the ceremony, with four from different countries.

The United States' edition of the opening ceremony will feature a major international flair, as the lineup of performers includes K-Pop star Lisa, Brazilian singer Anitta, South African singer Tyla and Nigerian singer Rema.

The two headliners are American pop star Katy Perry and rapper Future. Perry's 2010 album "Teenage Dream" produced five No. 1 singles in the United States, and she previously performed at the Super Bowl 49 halftime show. Future, meanwhile, is a three-time Grammy Award winner and has reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart three times.

The United States' World Cup opening ceremony will start on Friday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. local time) from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
