Upcoming playable characters in Genshin Impact Luna IV

For Genshin Impact's Luna IV, Columbina is the highlight of the patch and is releasing alongside the rerun banner of Ineffa for Phase 1 banner. On the other hand, Zibai will be released in Phase 2 alongside Illuga and a rerurn of Neuvillette. Here are some details in brief about these characters.

1. Columbina (Hydro Catalyst)

Columbina is an upcoming 5-star Hydro Catalyst character and the main push of the patch. Despite not being an Archon, her role is equally important in Nod-Krai as the Moon Goddess and this reflects in her gampley as well.

Based on what has been shown so far in the Special Program, she is best played as an off-field Sub DPS or even support. One of the key factors about her gameplay is that she can enable Lunar Reactions for the entire party, even if your team does not include any Nod Krai or Moon Wheel characters. This makes her extremely flexible and easy to slot into existing teams around elemental reactions with Hydro.

2. Zibai (Geo Sword)

Zibai is also another upcoming 5-star Geo Sword character hailing from Liyue, which aligns with the annual Lantern Rite festival during this patch. Players must be familiar by now that she is the infamous white horse adeptus mentioned in the ancient records of Liyue, who's also tied to Istaroth as well as the moons of Teyvat.

In terms of gameplay, she's going to be a DPS, focused on the new Lunar Crystallization reaction, where she deals increased reaction damage with other elements reacting to her Geo application. As per the preview shown during the Special Program, it seems her DPS playstyle will be focused around her Elemental Skill which allows her to deal Geo infused Normal Attacks.

For players looking forward to play her, make sure to have a team equipped with other elements like Hydro, Pyro, Electro, or Cryo to enable her Lunar reaction damage.

3. Illuga (Geo Polearm)

Illuga is an upcoming 4-star Geo Polearm character hailing from the Lightkeeper faction of Nod-Krai. As per the previews shown during the Special Program, he's going to be a dedicated Lunar Crystallization support, specifically designed to support Zibai. His role is mainly off field while increasing the Geo DMG of the active character, scaling with his Elemental Mastery.

Since he's having a rate up on the same banner as Zibai, players can look forward to unlocking his Constellations as well.
