"What a farce the rankings are" - Fans react to Jake Paul reportedly getting dropped from WBA rankings after Anthony Joshua loss

Fans recently reacted to Jake Paul getting dropped from the WBA rankings after losing to Anthony Joshua last month.

Paul went up against Joshua in a professional heavyweight boxing match at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Dec.19. Given the Englishman's considerable size and experience advantage, it's no surprise that Paul was out of his depth and was forced to resort to strategic clinching throughout the fight.

Joshua ultimately beat Paul via sixth-round knockout, breaking the former Disney star's jaw in two places in the process. In the aftermath of his loss, it appears the WBA decided to remove Paul from their cruiserweight rankings in their latest update. 'The Problem Child' was ranked #14, having entered the list after his unanimous decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. last June.

After @HappyPunch shared the news via an X post, fans flocked to the comments section to express their reaction.

Another fan theorized:

"He was only ranked in the first place to justify the fight with 'AJ.' That's literally the only reason he would be ranked."

Daniel Cormier reacts to Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua boxing match

Daniel Cormier recently shared his thoughts on the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua fight. The UFC legend touched upon Paul's strategy against Joshua and reacted to the former Disney star's clinching game.

In an interview with Josh Thomson, Cormier also shared his two cents on Paul reportedly getting $100 million for the Joshua clash and said:

“Jake Paul is a brave guy. Then I found out he got $100 million. I was thinking anybody will fight for $100 million.”

He added:

“All that wrestling was crazy. I have never, in my life, seen that much wresting in boxing. Every time he would fall, you got to get up. Every time he would shoot, you got to get up… that right hand was so nasty."
