All free rewards in Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 update and how to get them

There are quite a few free rewards in Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 that you can earn during the patch. This obviously includes a free copy of Zhao, one of the two S-Rank Agents added with the latest update. Some of these rewards will only be available during version 2.5, while some can be claimed even after the ongoing patch ends.

This article will cover all the free rewards in Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 update.

Here is the list of all free rewards that you can earn during Zenless Zone Zero version 2.5.

1) Zhao

Zhao is an S-Rank agent, and she is available as a free reward during the version 2.5 update for Zenless Zone Zero. Claiming her is quite simple, as a pop-up will appear when you log in to the game after the update has been installed on your device.

Zhao will be available for a limited-time, from the start of the ongoing 2.5 patch to the end of version 2.6.

2) Free Jane Doe costume: Nocturne of Light

The Nocturne of Light outfit for Jane Doe is available as one of the free rewards in Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 patch for a limited-time. Head to the shop and you will find the costume available at a 100 percent discount, meaning you do not need to spend any Monochromes.

The skin will be available for a limited-time as well, and once version 2.5 ends, you will need to spend Monochromes to purchase it.

3) 1000x Polychromes, Master Encrypted Tapes, and Boopons

Starting from January 1, 2026, you will be able to obtain 1000x Polychrome for free in Zenless Zone Zero. This will be available to all Proxies till the end of the 2.5 update. This reward is an appreciation gift to all the players for showing their support, as Zenless Zone Zero won the Grand Award at the PlayStation Partner Awards 2025.

Besides these, you will get the usual 10x Boopons and 10x Master Encrypted Tapes as part of the login events as free rewards in Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 update.

4) S-Rank W-Engine and Agent Selector

These are technically free rewards in Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 update, but only some players will be able to obtain these two, as both of them are tied to a spending event. You can participate in the Filmgoer Thank-You Gift event, where you will need to purchase Monochromes from the shop to earn a selector for certain S-Rank W-Engines and one with a few S-Rank agents.

Monochromes can only be purchased with real money, so these rewards are not for everyone. But it is a nice gift for the spenders, as you can earn one of the following Agents and their W-Engines:

• Burnice White
• Jane Doe
• Qingyi
• Grace
• Soldier 11
• Nekomata
• Koleda
• Lycaon
