History could be made in the Alamo City tonight. The San Antonio Spurs have a chance to open the season 5-0 for the first time in franchise history when they host the Miami Heat.

The San Antonio Spurs could be on the cusp of their first 5-0 start in franchise history

The Spurs have dominated early in the year, winning their first four games by an average of more than 15 points. According to ESPN Analytics, San Antonio enters Thursday’s matchup as the favorite, with a 66.3% chance to win compared to Miami’s 33.2%.

Victor Wembanyama has guided the franchise into the national spotlight after a 4-0 start surprised even the young star.“The Spurs never went 5-0? I’m surprised. I’m really surprised because the Spurs have the highest win percentage in like the last 30 years,” “Wow. Let’s beat that record.”

Earlier in the year, Wembanyama also shared his broader goals for the season. “Success would be getting into the playoffs and not [the] play-in [tournament], so I guess that means sixth seed,” he said.

A win would continue the Spurs’ impressive start behind their revamped lineup and surging offense, marking a strong statement to open the 2025–26 NBA season.

To open November, the Spurs will face a range of opponents, including Phoenix, the Lakers, Houston, New Orleans, Chicago, Golden State, Sacramento, Memphis, Atlanta, and more. Their schedule includes both home and away games throughout November 2025, with notable matchups against the Warriors (Nov. 12 & 14), the Kings (Nov. 16), and the Suns (Nov. 2 & 23).
