Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors continued to make headlines with his recent remarks about playing on Christmas. A five-time NBA champion didn't like Green's comments and took a shot at the former Defensive Player of the Year by calling him a bad apple.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Ron Harper replied to a clip from "The Draymond Green Show." The Warriors star ranted about playing on Christmas, saying that he would have preferred spending quality time with his family instead.

"It’s a honor to play on Christmas Day games for most players don’t let one bad apple 🍎 speak for others…," Harper tweeted.

In his career, Draymond Green has played 11 games on Christmas. With the Golden State Warriors being one of the most successful NBA franchises over the past decade, it's not surprising to see them play on one of the biggest days of the year.

Green and the Warriors were at the Chase Center for this year's Christmas game against the Dallas Mavericks. But what did the former DPOY exactly say about playing on Christmas?

"Playing on Christmas Day also f**king sucks," Green said, according to BasketNews. "And the reason it sucks is, number one, what I just said, it can affect your mood. Number two, we are human beings and, just like everyone else, enjoy Christmas Day with our families. That kinda gets messed up for us."

While it's easy to hate on Draymond Green for saying that playing on Christmas sucks, his remarks were clipped. Green did appear insensitive since regular people also work on Christmas and are away from their families, but their salaries are nowhere near an NBA player's range.

Nevertheless, Green also called playing on Christmas an honor, and having a lot of eyeballs on the team is incredible.

"I've heard a lot of talk of different people about how great playing on Christmas Day is, how much of an honor it is," Green said. "Yes, it is an honor to be considered one of the draws, the great draws that in the NBA. ... People wanting to see, people being interested in the particular team is great. To play on a day where everybody's watching is incredible. All of those things are great, but two things can be true at once."

The good news for the Green is the Warriors have New Year's Eve free, but they are on an East road trip and will have a game on Jan. 1 against the Charlotte Hornets.
