4 WWE opponents for Seth Rollins if he returns in time for WrestleMania 42

Seth Rollins is currently out of action from WWE due to a shoulder injury. He sustained the injury during a match against Cody Rhodes at the Crown Jewel PLE on October 11, 2025, in Australia. The company swung into action right after Seth's injury and initiated a betrayal angle in The Vision to write him off TV.

The next night on WWE Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker speared Rollins, thus turning on him. Bronson Reed joined the attack and gave Tsunami to Rollins. Paul Heyman joined the duo, and Seth Rollins was kicked out of The Vision, and thus written off TV. His title was vacated, and CM Punk was crowned the new World Heavyweight Champion at Saturday Night's Main Event (SNME) on November 1, 2025, after he beat Jey Uso in a singles match.

It was reported that Rollins would undergo surgery, and his return is most probably expected by WrestleMania 42. Therefore, in this listicle, we will discuss the names of four superstars against whom Seth Rollins can go when he returns.

#4 CM Punk

Seth's disgust with CM Punk in WWE is hidden from none. The two have been involved in a blistering rivalry for the past two years. Despite going against each other several times, their rivalry doesn't seem to end. Seth Rollins' frustration with CM Punk would have increased more now that Punk is the World Heavyweight Champion.

Rollins had pulled up a magnificent 'Ruse of the Century' at SummerSlam this year, when he faked his knee injury, and then shockingly cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against Punk in the main event of Night 1. Punk's title reign lasted for only five minutes, and Rollins defeated him to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

So when Rollins returns, he will certainly go after CM Punk and try to grab his World Heavyweight title before he goes after The Vision. He certainly doesn't like gold around CM Punk's waist, and who knows, he might pull another heist at WrestleMania 42 to snatch the title back from Punk.

#3 Bron Breakker

If not CM Punk, then it would certainly be Bron Breakker against whom Rollins would go when he returns to WWE. Seth had recruited Bron Breakker into the faction despite The Badass losing his Intercontinental title at WrestleMania 41. However, Breakker, in collusion with Heyman and Bronson Reed, turned on Seth Rollins.

And now, Rollins would like to hit Breakker where it would hurt the most. On January 5, 2026, in an episode of RAW, CM Punk will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Breakker. There are rumors that Breakker can dethrone Punk as the champion and march to WrestleMania 42 with the gold around his waist.

At Mania, most probably, CM Punk will once again challenge The Badass for the title, and he might win it, as a returning Seth Rollins could cost Bron Breakker his title. That would initiate a new feud in WWE between Rollins and Breakker, and this rivalry can continue for the next few weeks.

#2 Austin Theory

Seth Rollins can also go against Austin Theory for joining The Vision against his permission. Theory is a former protege of The Visionary, but the 28-year-old superstar has joined hands with Rollins' enemies in WWE. He is now an official member of The Vision.

When Theory took out Punk at Survivor Series: WarGames, it was believed that he was doing it on the instructions of Seth Rollins. However, Theory joined The Vision two weeks later, thus debunking all sorts of theories linking him with Seth Rollins. Rollins would also be incensed with Theory for stealing his moves, but not going against The Vision, and rather joining them.

#1 Former WWE Champion, Roman Reigns

Seth Rollins' saga of hatred with Roman Reigns is a decade-old story, and still does not appear to end. Their tale took a wrong turn last year when Seth secretly recruited Paul Heyman and got The Wiseman to turn against CM Punk and Roman Reigns. Since then, Reigns has been furious with Rollins.

Seth has constantly gone after Roman Reigns as the leader of The Vision. The Big Dog also doesn't step back and retaliates in equal measure. Therefore, if Rollins returns before Mania and settles his scores with The Vision, then he can clash against Roman Reigns once again at WrestleMania 42.

It's because apart from Breakker and CM Punk, if there's any other rival of Seth Rollins in WWE, it's Roman Reigns. It now remains to be seen which opponent the Architect will choose to go against when he returns.
