The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been embroiled in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre for a long time. The two are set to lock horns for seemingly the final time at Friday Night SmackDown from Berlin in a "Three Stages of Hell" stipulation.
The latest edition of the blue brand saw a heated segment between Rhodes and McIntyre. The General Manager, Nick Aldis, was trying to control the situation. The American Nightmare had had enough, as Drew was constantly poking and involving his wife and late father in conversation before getting a Claymore Kick from the Scottish Warrior, Cody, who shoved Aldis, which tripped the GM.
In this article, we will explore three things that can happen to Rhodes on the upcoming edition of SmackDown after he attacked the General Manager:
#3. Aldis could snap at the WWE Champion
The relationship between SmackDown's General Manager and Cody Rhodes has been hanging on a thin thread for weeks. The American Nightmare shoving Nick could be the final nail in the coffin, and Aldis could finally snap.
The upcoming episode of the blue brand may see Nick Aldis confront Cody Rhodes and tell him that he is the General Manager of the Friday Night Show, and that, no matter whether he is champion, he has the power and authority to punish him if he crosses the line, and to warn him for the future.
#2. McIntyre may try to manipulate GM to strip Rhodes of his title
The Scottish Warrior is a master at pulling off heel moves. Drew could use his heel antics to manipulate General Manager Nick Aldis against Undisputed WWE Champion and may try to convince him to strip him of his title.
This would create major tensions heading into the "Three Stages of Hell" WWE bout between the Scotsman and the former AEW star.
#1. Cody could cross the line once again
The Scottish Warrior hit Rhodes with his signature Claymore Kick last week on the blue brand. The American Nightmare would indeed want to get his revenge.
In an attempt to punish McIntyre somehow, Rhodes once again could get on the wrong side of Nick Aldis, raising the tensions before Cody and Drew collide.
