Diablo 4: Best zDPS builds in the game (Support builds)

Around Diablo 4 Season 11, quite a few zDPS (Zero DPS) support builds have started to become popular. Not only are they popular, but they are arguably the most powerful way to play the game, with one important caveat: These Zero DPS builds do not function in solo gameplay. This is for people using Party Finder, or playing with groups of friends, and nothing else.

I imagine you could try playing these in solo, but it wouldn’t be enjoyable unless you were on a very low difficulty. These are builds that lift up your allies by enhancing their damage, healing them, or lowering incoming damage. As someone who often plays support in other games, I’m looking forward to trying these zDPS Support builds in Diablo 4 Season 11.

What are the best zDPS builds to try in Diablo 4?

1) zDPS Support Paladin is easily the best Support build in Diablo 4

Perhaps the most obvious choice would have to be the zDPS Support Paladin in Diablo 4. It’s a class that, while capable of dealing trillions of damage with ease, also has a ton of support/utility powers. Through the power of Wreath of Auric Laurel and Sundered Night, they drop incredibly powerful Auras, and use the might of Purify to increase damage enemies take.

It’s wildly tanky, using Fortress to stand in the middle of even the deadliest mob groups/floor damage, without any fear for them or their allies. Defiance Aura, Fanaticism Aura both enhance your parties’ defensive and offensive capabilities, and Condemn pulls everyone in nice and close. It can heal, it can tank, and it can buff everyone. It’s easily the best, and most fun option.

2) zDPS Support Druid

The zDPS Support Druid uses Stone Burst (and Shattered Defenses) to inflict a damage amp on anyone it hits, and Debilitating Roar to weaken those enemies further. You can heal with Blood Howl, while also granting Attack Speed/Critical Strike Chance buffs, thanks to Nighthowler’s Aspect.

Cyclone Armor is a solid buff for the party, and Cataclysm debuffs enemies further. You Hurricane at the start of a fight, and then Debilitating Roar/Cataclysm to get enemies set up. From there, you channel Stone Burst to where it’s big enough, and let it go. Repeat that when new enemies show up.

You get lots of use of Cataclysm thanks to Flickerstep, and Airidah’s Inexorable Will makes it pull enemies in, so they’re easier to kill. Druid is all about buffs and debuffs in this build. It doesn’t heal as good as a Paladin I think, but it’s another excellent zDPS option in Diablo 4.

3) zDPS Support Barbarian

While zDPS Support Barbarian is the build I know the least about in Diablo 4, I know it has to be an incredibly fun option. Barbarians are already pretty beefy as a class, they use their loadout to cut enemy damage in half, and amplifies their party damage by at least triple.

They can pull enemies in with Wrath of the Berserker, slow them with Ground Stomp, and use their various shouts to buff everyone nearby. War Cry, Dust Devils and the Fields of Crimson Unique all do their part to increase offensive capabilities. They can even heal using Raid Leader, making them a must-have if you want a support character in the party.
