Zelina Vega breaks character to make special request to the fans

Zelina Vega recently turned heel on SmackDown. She has now broken character to make a special request to the fans.

Zelina Vega has faced a lot of ups and downs in the past year. The pinnacle of her career came earlier this year when she won the Women's United States Championship. However, she didn't hold the title for long before losing it to Giulia. Following this, she aligned with her husband, Aleister Black, on SmackDown and turned heel in the process. Vega still remains one of the most popular women on the roster and has made many appearances outside the company. In September, she did a streaming collaboration with popular Twitch streamer Cinna. This collaboration has been nominated at the Streamer Awards for best streaming collab.

Therefore, the WWE star took to social media and broke character to ask fans to vote for her and Cinna to win.

Aleister Black opened up about his pairing with Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega and Aleister Black's pairing has worked since they were put together a few weeks ago. However, it appears that this alliance was years in the works.

During a recent interview with Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated, Aleister Black revealed that he was supposed to be paired with Vega at the end of his first run with WWE. They even started making masks that Black didn't wear until he joined AEW.

"We started shooting little vignettes for it, and we started creating outfits for it. That first mask that I ever wore when I worked with [AEW] was actually one of the masks that was utilized. If you remember the Dark Father character that was at the end of my initial run [with WWE], that would eventually see my wife joining me... that was one of the pitches," Black said.

Aleister Black and Zelina Vega have been feuding with Damian Priest on SmackDown.
