WWE SmackDown marked the return of Zack Ryder. LA Knight's mystery opponent was the former Intercontinental Champion, and the man got a big reaction when his music rang out through the MVP Arena in Albany, NY. While it's reportedly a one-off, the Indy God continues to tease more on the horizon.

Back in 2020, Cardona, his tag partner Brian Myers, and over twenty wrestlers, on-screen talent, and backstage agents were affected by Black Wednesday, being released or furloughed on April 15th. Since then, Cardona has solidified himself as one of the most important indie talents on the planet. While the man made a few appearances in AEW and has been a big factor in TNA, Cardona truly shone as a major attraction in GCW, Major League Wrestling, and several other indies.

When The Last Time Is Now Tour began, fans hoped to see the return of some of John Cena's old rivals and friends. The Last Time Is Now Tournament opened the door, giving the 40-year-old a shot at his old friend. Matt Cardona arrived on SmackDown last week as Zack Ryder, and while he failed to advance in the tournament, it was proven that the fans still love to Woo Woo Woo. Now, Cardona seems to be teasing more.

On Twitter today, Cardona shared photos of himself in his last run and his latest appearance, using the promotion's well-known catchphrase. While he's not signed with the promotion, that wouldn't prevent future appearances.

"Then...Now...Forever? @WWE"

If he does return to RAW or SmackDown in the near future, one has to wonder which version of himself will appear, as he's already arrived in WWE as Matt Cardona earlier this fall.

Matt Cardona recently competed in the WWE NXT-TNA Wrestling War

November 14 wasn't the first time Cardona appeared on WWE television this year. Back on the September 30 edition of NXT, Cardona cost Josh Briggs a spot in the NXT vs TNA Survivor Series Elimination match, attempting to weaken the brand and give TNA the edge.

This led to a match between the two, where Ryder ended up losing to Briggs. The damage was done, however, as the man who beat Briggs for the elimination tag opportunity, Myles Borne, was eliminated by TNA's Frankie Kazarian in just over two minutes. TNA would win that match.
