The LSU Tigers (5-3) fired Brian Kelly from his coaching position on Sunday. LSU made the decision less than 24 hours after its 49-25 loss to No. 3 Texas A&M at Tiger Stadium on Saturday.

After LSU fired Kelly, former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho slammed the coach for failing to get the best out of the program.

"Brian Kelly, if you're gonna be an a-hole, which many people suggest that you are both within and outside the program, then you can't expect anyone to come to your rescue when you have tenures like this," Acho said in a video he posted on X on Sunday. "When you have losses like this. Also, sidenote, Coach O's buyout is finally coming off the books, so LSU is looking around and saying, 'Well, you know what, if we finally can get rid of Brian Kelly, let's get rid of Brian Kelly.' You return a quarterback (Garrett Nussmeier) that's supposed to be one of the best quarterbacks in college football, yet you're offense remains incompetent.
