Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has hit out at French rapper Orelsan after his 'diss track' on the Frenchman for his ownership of FC Caen. The former PSG striker has boldly urged the rapper to say the city, while revealing that he has been 'begging' for a stake in the club.

Orelsan slammed Mbappe and his family in his recent song 'La Petite Voix', in which he speaks to his fictitious evil twin, a 'little voice' that criticises everyone. One verse questioned Mbappe's ownership of the club, claiming that the family was sinking the city.

Mbappe has now taken to social media and hit back at Orelsan. He has invited the rapper to come forward and save the city, and slammed him for asking for a stake in the club without any financial investment.

The Real Madrid star posted on X (formerly Twitter):

“You’re welcome to come and save the city you love so much. PS: The guy kept begging us to get in with 1% without paying because he doesn’t have a penny but wanted to look like the little guy from Normandy.”

Kylian Mbappe bought an 80% stake in FC Caen just days after joining Real Madrid in 2024. The Frenchman invested €20 million through his firm, but the fans have not been supportive after a poor season saw them relegated from Ligue 2.

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe slammed by FC Caen supporters

Former FC Caen star Brahim Thiam was among the first to voice his opinion of Kylian Mbappe's comments about Orelsan. He claimed that the Real Madrid star was exposing the club to ridicule by talking about a parody song and wrote on X:

“The punchline comes from an Orelsan song title that talks about his evil twin, a little voice that criticises everything and everyone, even his family, his buddies, and his wife - it's not a personal matter, lol... It's a shame to expose the club through this kind of post.”

A fan spoke to RMC Sport and issued a warning to Mbappe for his comments, hailing Orelsan as a local idol, and said:

"We're stunned, like everyone else. It’s sad. Orelsan is a huge celebrity in Caen. Kylian Mbappe has made a massive blunder that will tarnish his image. If he thinks he can turn the Caen fans against Orelsan, he's going to have a very hard time; Orelsan is an idol. The song is a parody. Responding at face value is risky.”

FC Caen have not made the best of starting in the league this season, though they have lost just twice in the first 13 games. They have three wins and seven draws, leaving them 13th in the table.
