Having made his big league debut in 2019, Yordan Alvarez has gone on to establish himself as one of the Houston Astros' most important players.

Capable of playing as an outfielder and a DH, the slugger has three All-Star selections, a Silver Slugger award and an All-MLB First Team selection to his name. He also helped the Astros win the World Series in 2022.

The 2025 season, however, was an extremely frustrating one for Alvarez, as injury issues meant he was able to play only 48 games.

Through all the highs and lows of baseball, Yordan's wife, Monica, has been a constant pillar of support.

Along with being a baseball wife and full-time mom of two, Monica Alvarez is quite popular on social media. Boasting over 18,000 followers on Instagram, she often gives fans a sneak peek into her daily life via her posts, showing off her elegant fashion sense in the process.

On Monday, she posted a series of snaps showing off her outfit for a relaxing afternoon at the beach, a u-ring tie back monokini swimsuit.

Per sources, Yordan and Monica first crossed paths as teenagers in Cuba. Yordan Alvarez's home town of Las Tunas is about a two-hour drive away from Camaguey, where Monica grew up.

After dating for several years, the couple reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2021. The pair share two children, a daughter named Mia, born 2018, and a son named Jordan, born 2021.

Soon after the Astros' campaign concluded, Yordan Alvarez and his family jetted off across the Atlantic to enjoy the sights and sounds of Spain. In early December, Yordan's better half, Monica, shared a series of snaps from the family holiday.

After the Astros disappointingly failed to qualify for the postseason in 2025, fans will be hoping Alvarez enjoys a clean bill of health in 2026, as the two-time World Series champions look to get back to their best.
