Arizona Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte's relationship with his teammates was brought into question during the season in August. On Monday, the second baseman brought his camaraderie with Corbin Carroll to full charm as he took a playful dig at those, calling out his chemistry within the team.

Marte reshared a photo initially shared by the Diamondbacks' social media account. It showed Marte and Carroll engaged in a celebration after a moment on the field. Through the image, Marte took a sarcastic dig at critics, as he wrote:

"Not Good teamate."

Earlier this season, according to AZCentral, there were reports of frustration among Diamondbacks teammates with Ketel Marte. This started to happen after Marte asked for a time-off after his home was burglarized on the night of the All-Star break. During the time-off, Marte was in his native Dominican Republic instead of Scottsdale, where the burglary of $400K took place.

The frustrations also crept in because in the days after, the Diamondbacks initiated a sell-off before the deadline, resulting in the departure of key figures such as Zac Gallen, Merrill Kelly, Randal Grichuk and Shelby Miller.

In stark contrast, Carroll played through a broken hand because he owed it to the team and the fanbase. While no one was named in particular for bringing those concerns to Marte, but the environment had it written all over it, as per the report.

Ketel Marte trade unlikely to happen, Diamondbacks GM

Those wondering if Ketel Marte will be shipped off this offseason received an update straight from the Diamondbacks front office. Marte has been part of several trade rumors lately, thanks to his long-term and affordable contract.

On Monday, Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen directly addressed the trade rumors, acknowledging their need for starting pitching through this trade. However, he said those trade talks will be shut down soon.

"I haven't figured that out yet," Hazen told MLB.com, referring to an exact time frame on a resolution. "But this isn't going to continue to linger. We need to focus our offseason. Again, my gut this whole time was that [a trade of Marte] wasn't going to happen, and I think it seems likely that that's the case and we want to focus on other things we need to do."

That means, Marte will likely stay in Arizona for another year, giving fans a sigh of relief.
