Yankees’ Oswaldo Cabrera taken off field in ambulance after gruesome injury

Oswaldo Cabrera had to be taken off in an ambulance after injuring himself on an awkward slide into home in the ninth inning in Seattle on Monday night.

The Yankees third baseman was scoring on a sacrifice fly by Aaron Judge, but short-stepped into home instead of sliding.

He just hit his hand down in time to be safe and give the Bombers an 11-5 lead over the Mariners.
